Achraf Hakimi’s agent has responded to transfer speculation linking his client with Bayern Munich, while the Inter Milan star is also known to be a target for Arsenal.

The Morocco international has only been at Inter for a year but has seriously impressed at right wing-back and clubs are circling for his signature.

His agent Alejandro Camano was asked about reported interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and, while he didn’t confirm it, he would certainly not surprise him if it were the case.

‘It wouldn’t surprise me (if they wanted him),’ Camano told TZ. ‘Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and if they’re looking to sign someone it has to be the best player in his position.’

‘And Hakimi is the best player in his position.’

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Hakimi as well, but they will do very well to attract him away from the team set to lift the Serie A title and compete in the Champions League next season.

Inter are not keen to let him go, unless an enormous bid comes in, and Hakimi himself has said he is happy where he is.

‘The team that attracted me the most was Inter and I saw it as a growth project,’ Hakimi told La Repubblica.

‘I am honoured to be one of the testimonials for the new club logo. I like it, as it looks to the future, a future we can build together.

‘I hope to stay at this club for a long time and I’m very happy.

The coach is with us no matter what happens, he’s like a big brother.

‘Many of us were new and we managed to know each other better and then the Champions League elimination allowed us to focus only on Serie A.’
